About our In the Buff wood flooring. Real wood floors are made the way they should be. Available in solid or engineered oak flooring formats.
Just as the name suggests a fabulous pale blonde wood flooring is simple looking and perfect for modern simplicity or a Scandinavian scheme Colour lightness is enhanced by a very subtle washy chalk white underlying tone making this light and airy finish easy to live with, the tonal colour variation gives interest, but the finish is a silky-smooth waxy surface to the touch. This coloured finish has been achieved by natural reactive processes and not by stains or just a coloured oil, but by a process called oxidation. This oxidation works with the abundant tannin found within are special oak flooring to change the composition makeup of the wood by altering the fibres deep within the oak. Then layers of hand-applied patinas create these special wood floors. The hand-applied patinas penetrate the oak which is then hand-buffed to a lovely hardwearing finish. Choose from a narrow strip, wide plank, herringbone, chevron parquet floors or parquet de Versailles these are wood floors to cherish.
